Moline, IL — Elliott Aviation, a leader in a diverse set of business aviation services, announced today that Aircraft Research Manager, James Becker, has received accreditation from the American Society of Appraisers (ASA). Because of his extensive industry appraisal experience, he is recognized by the ASA as an Accredited Senior Appraiser.

The designation qualifications are based on appraisal education, experience, intensive written and verbal examinations, and submission of acceptable appraisal reports. ASA appraisers, like Becker, must have a four-year college degree (or the equivalent), a minimum of five years of full-time appraisal experience, and must adhere to ASA's Principles of Appraisal Practice and Code of Ethics, and to the nationally recognized standards of the Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice (USPAP).

Becker was also required to pass the 15-hour USPAP course and exam. In addition to the initial accreditation, Becker will be required to participate in twenty hours per year of continuing education.

“Mr. Becker’s accreditation with the ASA takes our aircraft sales division to a whole new level,” said Wynn Elliott, CEO of Elliott Aviation. “The ASA is the most respected appraisal association in the nation. Having an Accredited Senior Appraiser as part of our organization shows our customers that we will make every effort to be the best at what we do.”

Becker has been with Elliott Aviation since 1993 and has over twenty years of experience in the aviation industry. He is a licensed Airframe & Power plant mechanic, and has a business degree from the University of Nebraska. He is located in Elliott Aviation’s Des Moines (DSM) office.
