Hawker-700A-Transformed-IntMOLINE, Ill. – November 7, 2007 – Elliott Aviation recently completed a total aircraft refurbishment, transforming the interior of a 1980 Hawker 700A into a “like new” Hawker 800XP.  The complete cabin makeover consisted of a floor plan reconfiguration including upgraded forward club and aft divan seating, installation of a shell kit with new tables, soft goods, plating, and veneer with matching hardwood nosings.

Elliott removed the existing solid plywood galley and fabricated a new lightweight composite galley featuring an Aerostone countertop, refrigerator, ice chest, microwave, coffee pot and storage drawers.  The company also installed new LED lighting throughout the cabin, an AirCell ST-3100 Iridium telephone, a state-of-the-art entertainment package including: a RosenView LX Cabin Information System, dual 15” Rosen monitors, DVD/CD players, iPod® docking station, Nintendo® Wii and Sony PlayStation® 3 gaming systems, all new control panels, and an audio system.

“Essentially this is a brand new aircraft,” said Elliott Aviation project manager, Bill Engle, who oversaw all aspects of the refurbishment at Elliott’s completion center at Quad Cities International Airport (MLI) in Moline, Ill.  “We were able to greatly enhance the flying experience for occupants of the cockpit and cabin alike, extend the useful life of the aircraft, and even provide significant weight savings.”

The owner worked with the Elliott Aviation design team in their newly opened design center, using Elliott’s EnVision software to preview interiors, fabrics and carpets prior to fabrication and installation.
