Elliott Aviation Showcases Aircraft Upgrades at EBACE
MOLINE, Ill. – May 11, 2009 – Elliott Aviation, a Moline, Ill.-based business aviation services company, will promote its complete range of aircraft upgrades—from first-to-market avionics modifications to interior refurbishments to the industry’s most sophisticated aftermarket paint facility—at EBACE2009.
Elliott Aviation has been helping business aircraft owners make the most of their investments since 1936 and has performed avionics installations and paint and interior upgrades for multiple airframes and aircraft based in seven European nations and a total of 16 foreign nations worldwide. The company performs all avionics modifications, interior completions and paint at its headquarters facility at Quad Cities International Airport (MLI) in Moline, Ill., helping to minimize aircraft downtown and costs for aircraft owners.
In April, Elliott Aviation became the first company to successfully install Garmin, Inc.’s G1000 Integrated Avionics System in a Beechcraft King Air B200/200 series aircraft. Garmin is pursuing EASA certification for this upgrade to the King Air B200/200 series, and Elliott Aviation will have a G1000 panel on display at Booth 1098 at EBACE2009. The company has also announced plans to secure EASA certification for its Digital Flight Data Recorder solution for Beechjet 400/400A/Hawker 400XP aircraft.
“Our goal at EBACE2009 is to promote more than our customer-focused avionics solutions,” said Jeff White, vice president, sales, marketing and business development, Elliott Aviation. “We look forward to impressing European aviators with our complete range of aircraft upgrade capabilities, including our world-class design center and interior refurbishment and paint facilities.”
“Elliott Aviation has the ability to transform an aircraft inside and out into ‘like new’ condition, by installing the latest avionics systems, a completely new interior and new paint in one facility,” said Ron Jennings, director of completions sales, Elliott Aviation. “Many business aircraft owners—particularly those based in Europe—will be pleasantly surprised by the craftsmanship in our cabinet and upholstery shop and the most sophisticated aftermarket paint facility in the industry.”
The Elliott Aviation design center, located in the lobby of the company’s fixed base operation (FBO) at MLI, features a complete line of carpet samples, fabric options and leather hides, as well as information about creature comforts such as Rosen individual television mounts, XM Radio, and AirCell wireless telephones and Internet access. Elliott Aviation designers employ EnVision software, which displays prospective interior designs on a 50-inch flat screen monitor (or via the Internet), to enable owners to “see” new two- and three-dimensional views of the interior options and completed paints schemes for their aircraft during the design stage.
The Elliott Aviation aircraft refurbishment center features a first-class cabinet and upholstery shop, and one of the few downdraft-type paint facilities in the nation, rivaling the facilities of the major OEMs, including Gulfstream, Bombardier and Cessna. Elliott Aviation strips all old paint in a dedicated facility prior to painting to ensure maximum paint adherence while reducing the weight of the aircraft.
The Elliott Aviation paint facility includes a separate multi-aircraft paint-stripping bay, where all old paint is removed and the aircraft is primed. Elliott’s state-of-the-art paint pay that is capable of accommodating aircraft as large as a Citation X, and features a downdraft airflow and a complete climate and humidity-controlled, computer-operated environment to ensure maximum paint adhesion, a smooth flow of paint over the surface of the aircraft and a harder, higher-gloss finish.
Elliott Aviation is a full-service business aviation center offering comprehensive and customer focused aviation solutions. Serving the business aviation industry nationally and internationally, they have facilities in Moline, Ill., Des Moines, Iowa, Minneapolis, Minn., and Omaha, Neb. The company is a member of the Pinnacle Air Network, National Business Aviation Association (NBAA), and National Air Transportation Association (NATA), and has been selling and servicing business aircraft since 1936.
