Mountains, today announced their FAA STC approval for the activation and use of all Aircell Wi-Fi products in Hawker 800/850/900/1000.  This includes the newly announced ATG 2000 and ST 4300 as well as the ATG 5000, ATG 4000 and the Aviator 200 and 300/350 and Gogo Vision with UCS 5000 media server. The STC allows airplane activation for all Wi-Fi standards including A, B, G and N. In addition, Elliott Aviation delivered the first installation of an ATG 2000 in a Hawker 125 series on March 19, 2014.

The Aircell ATG 2000 is a more affordable cabin broadband wireless system aimed at mid and light sized jets and turboprops that will allow passengers to connect to the internet on their laptop, smartphone and tablets. In addition to internet, voice service is available on either Gogo OnePhone cabin handsets or on personal devices via the Gogo Text & Talk service. The service also allows passengers to use their own smartphones for calling and texting in flight with their own mobile number.

In addition to Wi-Fi connectivity, the STC allows operation of Aircell’s all-in-one cabin entertainment suite, Gogo Vision. Gogo Vision is business aviation’s first turn-key, on-demand, in-flight entertainment system that puts movies, TV episodes, news, weather, flight progress and more at your fingertips. It allows access to a full library of some of the best titles in entertainment from personal tablets and laptops. The service is delivered by Aircell’s UCS 5000 which is an all-in-one smart router and media server.

“This STC allows Hawker operators multiple options,” said Mark Wilken, Director of Avionics Sales at Elliott Aviation. “The nice thing about it is you can buy the product that best fits your needs.”
